-I agree with “no food panels” as there are too many false positives. You can order RAST for individual foods that are of interest (like hives immediately after eating egg for example). But skin tests are a little more sensitive (get the occasional false negative with RAST), so if if you think you are going to send the patient to the allergist, you can hold off on ordering anything.
-you are right, eating foods during pregnancy seems to have no impact on the baby’s food allergy
-go generic with rhinitis meds!
